About us

Asian Medical Students’ Association Universitas Gadjah Mada (AMSA-UGM) is a non-profit and non-political organization, established in Yogyakarta on August 10th 1996. Being one of the founders of AMSA-Indonesia, AMSA-UGM is part of district 4 with 3 other universities.

Through the years, AMSA-UGM has grown and developed with our current active members consisting of students from the medical, health nutrition, and nursing programs.

AMSA-UGM is a member-based organization that aims to provide opportunities for members to develop their potential and maximize their contribution to society. We are actualizing those goals through our various activities and work programs. Upholding the philosophy of Friendship, Action, and Science, we strive to not only make AMSA-UGM our home but to always do our best and leave a positive impact on communities around us.

First and foremost, the sense of friendship and family is the core foundation of our organization. AMSA-UGM runs on the belief that an organization should be a home for its members. A home where they feel welcomed, safe, and free to both discover and develop themselves.

ACTION

Real action of every program represents that AMSA-UGM is actively involved in improving the health of the society. We relentlessly seek for ways to always give back and create positive impact for the benefit and improvement of the communities around us.

SCIENCE

In its role as a medical student organization, AMSA-UGM is actively involved in increasing its members' achievements as well as their knowledge, soft skills, and capabilities by facilitating and training them to become polished future medical professionals.
